Researchers at Linköping University, Sweden, want to hook a new smart component onto plastic solar panels to extract energy from infrared solar rays as well. The goal is an environmentally friendly, cheap and efficient technology capable of meeting future energy needs. PI for the research project is Professor Xavier Crispin.
