Terje Falck-Ytter is studying whether signs of autism spectrum conditions can be identified during the first years of a child’s life. Terje's team studies children who have older siblings with autism. Because heredity is high and if you want to find early signs, it is helpful to examine the younger siblings. The goal is to understand early autism to and contribute to early intervention in the future, and better advice to families.
Meet Terje and the family with seven children who are participating in the study, where the four oldest siblings have received autism diagnoses, and the younger ones are therefore included in the study.
