Sending space probes to Venus is a major challenge. The equipment is destroyed quickly in the extreme climate with constant earthquakes and burning heat. But a solution may be on the way from Sweden. In the next few years, Professor Mikael Östling at KTH Royal Institute of Technology together with astronaut Christer Fuglesang and others will develop unique electronics that can handle the planet’s exceptional conditions.
