The forest ecosystem is complex, and climate change affects it in different ways. In WIFORCE (Wallenberg Initiatives in Forest Research), Sweden’s leading forest researchers come together to identify the scientific foundations for the future use and management of Swedish forests in a changing climate. In the film, we follow researchers who investigate the impact of water availability, what happens below ground – the importance of fungi and bacteria, those who study plant breeding using genetics, and also those who examine the role that grazing animals such as moose and reindeer play in forest land.
